The Ripple Effect

I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.

Good Evening Fellow Toastmasters & Distinguish Guest.

Body:

You can never know the ripple effect you create with one tiny gesture of kindness.

Even the smallest act of caring for another person is like a drop of water. It will make ripples throughout the entire pond.

Mentoring individual Toastmasters:

Every precious drop of Change has a ripple effect on the Ocean.

After completing the Leadership Development Level 2, I got opportunities to mentor two Toastmasters in Chennai Champions.

I’ve assisted them in taking roles in every meeting and set short-term and long-term goals.

But mentoring in Toastmasters is on a need basis. The mentee should reach mentor and get assistance.

After each meeting role-plays, I gave them constructive feedback to move forward.

I’ve assisted them in preparing scripts without modifying their contents.

I want to make a ripple effect from what I learned from my mentors.

Guided them to participate in contest management and contestants.

Also, ensured them to participate in Toastmasters Leadership events.

Mentoring Excomm Leaders:

Every single thought and every single action creates a ripple effect.

While it may seem small, the ripple effects of small things are extraordinary.

Started mentoring Excomm Leaders during my Vice President Education & President term.

It’s very challenging to perform as Excomm Leaders. All Excomm Leaders are working tirelessly to conduct weekly meetings.

Also, need to achieve DCP & GG to maintain the legacy.

TEAM work always wins.

Mentoring inside Organization:

Daily ripples of your hard work will turn into huge waves of success one day.

I stopped posting & sharing other Leaders videos and created my own video on my thoughts.

Consistent effort for more than 2 and a half years as a Toastmaster, a few of our colleagues request me to be their mentor.

We join together and discussed social events to participate in and career plans.

Some of them, said to me, don’t change your vision and don’t reduce your pace.

Mentoring in Social Life:

Each life creates endless ripples.

I’m mentoring few people outside Toastmasters and Organization.

I’m too pursing Resilience Practitioner.

I saw a few of my mentees are asking more questions before starting even a simple task.

Doer vs Thinker vs Dreamer

Every phase has a time limit.

If a person is planning for 5 years on an idea without documenting or trying any possibilities,

When he going to start this?

If you want to cut a tree with an Axe, sharpen the Axe for an hour or 2 hours or half a day is fine.

But if you sharpening the Axe for 7 hours and try to cut the tree, when will you start to cut it?

Mentors always expect and push their mentees to say “I Should” not “Should I? or Should I not?”.
